Stairway To Heaven

Examines the ancient Jewish tradition of prayer, discussing its background and relevance for both the beginner and the experienced practitioner. Drawing upon classical Jewish sources, it presents the key daily and Sabbath prayers - as well as prayers for many daily activities such as eating and traveling - in classical Hebrew, transliteration and a new English translation. It also includes Chasidic stories about the power of prayer. Stairway to Heaven attempts to answer all of the key questions relating to the history and significance of this core Jewish practice.

A Light In the Dark

LITD is a short “how to” book for everyone. It is the only book of its kind. LITD describes the traditional way to fulfill the great mitzvah of “bikur cholim” (i.e. visiting those who are ill) and their family members. It includes traditional insights and practical advice based on Jewish tradition and the experience of thousands of hospital visits. It also includes prayers that everyone can say and “Ward Stories” to inspire the reader to do this challenging, yet extremely rewarding, mitzvah which greatly benefits all who are involved.

Knocking On Heaven's Door

KOHD is co-authored by Zale and his wife Rochel, a licensed social worker, family therapist and grief counselor. It is a practical guide for all those who have lost loved ones into the practices of Jewish tradition at this most sensitive time. It deals with many matters, both practical and emotional, including shiva, kaddish, the monument, the mourning period, yizkor, yahrtzeit, souls, Heaven and how to grow from this inevitable life experience. It includes stories, prayers and practical mitzvot for mourners to fulfill to help turn this challenging experience into one of fulfillment and sweet moments.
